Returns & Exchanges

We believe in our products and trust you will love them but, just in case you don’t, River and Bord offers a 30-day return policy, not often seen in the custom furniture industry. All customers have 30 days to contact us, from the day of delivery, if you are unsatisfied with your furniture. The process is easy, email us to return your product and we will send someone to pick it up. Please note that, to initiate a return, all products must first be successfully delivered.

Returns regarding damage

Should manufacturing defects or transit damage be the cause of return, every effort will be made to restore a piece to the ordered specifications which may involve a repair or replacement. It is important to report any transit damage or manufacturing defects within 24 hours and clearly document with images in your email. A percent (20%) of your purchase will be withheld from all refunded pieces, this includes manufacturing defects and transit damage. White Glove Delivery shipping fees will also be non-refundable.

Returns based on White Glove Delivery

You will receive a partial refund (original, pre-discounted price minus 25%) so long as you have receipt of purchase and the product is not damaged, soiled, or excessively used. The 25% pertains to restocking and packaging fees. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed once the item has been received and inspected at our facility. Depending on your pick-up location, the processing of this refund can take up to 30 days.

Returns base on Premium Front Door Delivery

You will receive a partial refund (original, pre-discounted price minus 20%)so long as you have the original product packaging, receipt of purchase, and the product is not damaged, soiled, or excessively used. The 20% pertains to restocking fees. Refunds will be processed once the item has been received and inspected at our facility. Depending on your pick-up location, the processing of this refund can take up to 30 days.

Important Notes:

  • Any piece that has been altered or customized in any way cannot be returned.
  • All custom orders are final sale, this includes special sizing, COM, configurations, and custom shipping.
  • We cannot accept more than 1 return or exchange per household (determined by delivery address).
  • Due to the custom nature of our pieces, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for items that do not fit because of incorrect space measurements.
  • In order to initiate a return, for any reason, pictures must be provided for quality assurance purposes.
  • Any handling-related issues that may arise are subject to additional fees, which will be the responsibility of the customer. The determination of such issues will be assessed by River & Bord at the time of the return process.
